Hirschgartenallee 25-27: accessible, yet hidden
Located between the castle grounds of Nymphenburg and a Bavarian beer garden, between a petrol station and the flagship store of UN.limited, you will unexpected find an industrial park: garages, carpet warehouses, tyre dealerships – and the design agency KOCHAN & PARTNER. The area of 2400 yd² is home to 60 individualists broadening their own views with the notions of other disciplines. This interplay creates outstanding solutions in communication, international conferences, unusual exhibitions and legendary parties – often all under the same roof with concepts originating from the same source: in the main building, in the own venue of events, Halle 27, or at the neighbouring event kitchen ROTIS’SERIE.

While the main building follows a clear line, greeting its visitors with the words of Roland Barthes on the outside, and displaying a geometric meeting of writers Goethe and Schiller on the inside, Halle 27 reinvents itself with each new event. At times, its wooden floors morphs into the brick-­red of clay courts, at others they will turn into meadows ready for a picnic. At times, it is where people will dance into the early morning, at others it is where people will be in workshops for just as long. These 2700 ft² are traditionally hosting international exhibitions and conferences, creative and creating designers, colleagues and clients, thinkers and makers, speakers as well as those who will ask questions and those who will listen.

HALLE 27, located in the Nymphenburg neighbourhood of Munich, right between the city’s famous park Hirschgarten and the Nymphenburg castle, can be found at Hirschgartenallee 27, in the courtyard building. Parking in the immediate vicinity or at Nymphenburg castle is limited. We recommend you take public transport: take bus 51, getting off at bus stop Hirschgartenallee, or any of the three street car lines 16, 17 or 12 to Romanplatz, from where it will be a short walk of about 5 minutes.

From the central station
By car: follow Arnulfstraße to Romanplatz. Cross Romanplatz and take Wotanstraße, take a right turn into Hirschgartenallee.

By streetcar: take line 16 or 17 (destination Amalienburgstraße) and get off at Romanplatz. After a short walk of about 5 minutes, take Wotanstraße, and then turn right into Hirschgartenallee.

From the airport
By car: take highway A92 to junction Neufahrn. Take highway A95 in the direction of München-­Zentrum (town centre) and exit at München-­Schwabing. Continue on B2R (Mittlerer Ring). Having passed the Olympic park, take Georg-­Brauchle-­Ring (which will turn into Wintrichring). At the end of Wintrichring, take a left into Menzinger Straße, cross the canal of Nymphenburg and go to Romanplatz. Take a right into Wotanstraße and then turn right again into Hirschgartenallee.

By suburban train S‐Bahn: take line S1 (destination Ostbahnhof) to stop Laim. Change to bus line 51 (destination Moosach Bahnhof (Moosach station) to bus stop Hirschgartenallee.
