Trongjai Hutangkura (*1974) is a researcher at the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Anthropology Centre (SAC) in Bangkok, Thailand. After gaining a first-class honours degree (BA) from the Faculty of Archaeology at Silpakorn University in Thailand, he completed an MSc in Environmental Management at Mahidol University, Thailand, in 2000, and then a PhD at the Université de Nice-Sophia Antipolis (UNSA) in France in 2012, with a thesis on »Pollen Analysis of the Holocene Sedimentary Sequences from the Lower Central Plain of Thailand and Implications for Understanding Paleo-Environmental and Phytogeographical Changes«. He first worked as a researcher at the SAC from 1999 to 2004, initially on a part time basis, and then returned in 2011. Since then, he has participated in a variety of projects, including a Critical Analysis of the King Ramkhamhaeng Inscription and Case Studies of Two Thai Song Dam Cultural Centres at Hua Khao Chin Village (Ratchaburi) and Khao Yoi Village (Petchaburi).
