Sybille Krämer (*1951) has been Professor of Philosophy at the FU Berlin since 1989. She has also held visiting professorships in Tokyo, Vienna, Graz, Zurich, and Lucerne. She was a member of the German Council of Science and Humanities from 2000 to 2006, and a permanent fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study Berlin from 2006 to 2008. She has been a member of the Scientific Panel of the European Research Council since 2007, a project leader in the TOPI research network since 2008, and spokesperson for the »Notational Iconicity« Research Training Group of the German Research Foundation since 2008. In 2010, she was appointed to the Senate of the German Research Foundation.
