MyungJin Kim

MyungJin Kim (*1965) attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in USA after studying her BA of French literature in Korea. There, she gained graphic design knowledge with typography study under David Colley & Ken Carls. Her master degree in Multimedia in Art at San Jose State University in Silicon Valley allowed her to expand graphic elements in multimedia design area. Shortly after her graduation, MyungJin had practiced her studio in Seoul, while teaching at Samsung Art and Design Institute (SADI).
She is currently a full time professor in Foundation Department, SADI and has been teaching 2 dimensional elements in first semester and color class in second semester for the students of Fashion Design, Product Design, and Communication Design since 2001. She got an Excellence Award (1996) at American Corporate Identity and exhibited her art works in numerous galleries such as Stenerson Museum, Oslo, Norway, and Chicago Cultural Center USA, besides Mexico, Japan, and Korea.
